What Is Attraction Marketing?

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

By attraction marketing specialists usually mean the refreshing new method being embraced by network marketers and in fact, by marketers in many other areas of the selling arena. It challenges traditional methods taught for decades about the best way to gain customers and in most cases, outperforms the old ways. At the core of attraction marketing is the belief that people love to buy, but hate to be sold to. The solution then, is to somehow make them want to buy, because they like to do that, and you have to do it without selling to them, because they hate that. Sound impossible?

In fact, not only is it possible, but it’s turning around the business of thousands of network marketers. People unable to break even before learning the process of attraction marketing are now making more money than they ever thought viable .

So what makes attraction marketing attractive? It turns the table on the whole selling process. Instead of having to hunt down prospects and alienate friends and family to convince them they need what you have to sell, with attraction marketing your prospects seek you out. They’re already interested and in many cases, ready to buy or sign up: this is the power behind attraction marketing. Network marketers are learning the teachings of attraction marketing to draw customers and prospects, instead of chasing after them. Furthermore, they’re pulling people towards them that already want what they’re selling.

At one time the methods used by network marketers consisted of introducing friends and family first to the product or business opportunity. Then there was the ‘3-foot rule’, which basically says you talk about the product or business opportunity to anyone you get within 3 feet of, such as standing in line at the bank, post office or grocery store. And we can’t forget good old cold calls. Aren’t they outstanding? Picking up the phone and calling total strangers to tell them about what you have to offer and try to convince them why they need it, and more often than not, being hung up on.

Unfortunately, the problem with the old method is that it makes you approach people who have never expressed an interest in what you have. And the conversion rate is typically quite low. Which is why ‘It’s all about the numbers’ is repeated over and over again within network marketing circles. But it is not meant to be this way . It implies that attraction marketing changes all that and the Internet makes it easier than ever before. You can use a website, an ezine or newsletter, article marketing, even teleseminars to attract potential customers to you. Giving these people valuable information once they’ve found you and the almost automatic filtering process begins.

I should say here that those who aren’t interested won’t pursue it any further. Those are the ones who would have hung up on you when you called. They’re the ones who would cut you off in mid sentence to tell you they’re not interested. Yet, with attraction marketing, you don’t have to encounter these folks. On the other hand, the ones who are interested will continue. They’ll sign up for more information or buy the product or whatever it is you’re wanting them to do because they already have some level of desire for what you’re offering. Your conversion rates among these prospects will catapult .

In conclusion attraction marketing is changing forever the way independent marketers approach the business of gaining customers. The whole sales mindset is changing as well. Skillful marketers seek ways to serve their prospects first. Thus customer.

Build Your Network

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

One of the biggest questions when someone new comes online trying to earn money online is where do I find people to build my network. Usually after the quick and sometimes crushing realization that their marketing campaign relies on the help of other people they want to begin participating within the world of Web 2.0. Now Web 2.0 is no specific type of internet marketing, but the conglomeration of any web platform which provides user side feedback. This means any website out there that accepts visitors to interact in a way that gives them the ability to speak is considered Web 2.0. Good examples of websites within the Web 2.0 world are blogs, Twitter, Myspace, Digg, Forums, and other ways that people may transmit info while increasing their network of friends or business partners. Personally I thrive in the social web and use it constantly to not only build friendships that will potentially lead to cross promotion such as three way linking and guest posting, but also learn what is new throughout the online marketing world.

When you begin building your network it will seem like a very daunting task. There will be millions of potential contacts and you are to decide which will be the most productive and useful to your goals. The biggest tip that I can give anyone trying to build a network is start slow and remember etiquette is everything. Never think that anyone owes you or should have your link on their website or blog. It sounds quite simple, but after spending some of your valuable time helping someone out on a social medium to find that they did nothing for you in return may seem irritating to say the least, but in fact is quite common in the webmaster world. Example I personally gave a shout out to a few of the ?top dogs? in my niche giving them free backlinks and while reading of course I saw nothing. Should I have taken the links down or placed the rel=?nofollow? tag on them stopping the flow of link juice from my blog to theirs? The simple answer is no, but there are many reasons for this. The biggest one is when you give a link to someone deserving and Google notices who you are linking to they will not consider your site linking to crap and place you in the category of online crap.

Building a network consists of not only personal relationships, but also technical ones. The example above when sharing links is a relationship of technicality rather than personal. These are the relationships that drive the web and should be a consideration when you decide to build a network in the Web 2.0 world. If you run into someone that runs crap (link farm, ffa page, or other ?bad neighborhood?) even though they may be the nicest person online do not place them in your network it will only lead to poor placement within the SERPs and this can damage the income of a website dramatically. It is ok to stray from your niche somewhat, but usually when building a network the best relationships will be within your niche. Remember start slow and build your network brick by brick don?t give up.

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Looking for an MLM Home Business Opportunity? Excellent decision! Working at home can give you the FREEDOM that you want, and the income that you deserve.

By working your home business, you have copious amounts of time to spend with family and friends, INDULGE in a holiday, or do whatever it is you enjoy doing. For this reason, an MLM opportunity is extremely attractive, but you must be careful to select one that works for you.

When selecting an MLM home business opportunity, look for one that has been in business for a number of years. Most scams are often fly-by-night.

Now that doesn?t mean you should avoid younger companies, but do your due diligence BEFORE you enroll. Make sure that the MLM company has a good training program in place, a fair compensation plan worked out, and their products have been time tested.

When comparing home business opportunities, think of yourself first. Have you got the time to start a home business? Are you EDUCATED in network and internet marketing? If not, are you prepared to get the proper education to GROW your business? Have you got that burning desire?

Many who become involved in running an MLM home business, start out on a part time basis. This is WISE advice when you are considering the jump into self-employment. Let?s take a look at three KEY reasons:

Your day job will ensure adequate income to meet your needs.
You can buy enough time to get your home business established.
Your colleagues may be perfect candidates to join your MLM.

Somewhere out there, your MLM home business opportunity is waiting for YOU to take action. Just remember if something is too good to be true, it probably is. Many companies offer pie-in-the-sky dreams with little else. Keep your wits about you when looking for MLM Home Business Selection Advice, and you will land with your feet on the ground.

Choosing a MLM opportunity is never easy. There are hundreds of companies to choose from. There are thousands of products to represent. And a multitude of compensation plans to add to your confusion.

It seems like everyone you talk to these days has a new, ground floor opportunity for you to look at. They have the best product and compensation plan.

Maybe you decided to find your opportunity. A quick Google search for MLM Companies revealed 4,030,000 search results. The same search for Network Marketing companies revealed 67,000,000 search results.

Let?s face it. Would you invest a half million dollars to buy a business or franchise and not do your due diligence? I hope not. I would like to think you would have a team of accountants and lawyers on hand to uncover all the land mines, and have the advisers in place to ensure your best chance for success. If you don?t, you are risking your future.

Prospecting Sucks

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Let me say this: prospecting sucks. For 5 years I have been an avid student of network marketing. I?ve listened to hundreds of tapes and filled my library with all of the right books. I got into the right mindset, put affirmations all over my home office, and I?ve worked ? HARD. I purchased opportunity seeker leads, learned how to set up an autoresponder and tweaked those campaigns for YEARS. I tried every recommended lead provider I could find and jacked up my credit card bills to buy said leads. I pumped those expensive, and not so expensive babies through my autoresponder and watched as my live leads poured in, WOW! Now we are getting somewhere, I thought?

I called every one of those hard-earned live leads. I sponsored upwards of 50 people relatively quickly. But they dropped. 99% of those people dropped. They couldn?t duplicate what I was doing. They especially couldn?t pick up the phone and make the calls,
because prospecting sucks.

Somewhere around my third year I got enough guts to start calling other networkers to see if they?d be interested in looking at our opportunity. I made 50-100 dials a day for weeks on end. I?d get totally burnt out and take a few days off, then go back to it. I faired no better than I had before. The only difference was that the networkers were nicer to talk to!

Finally, in June of last year my business changed forever. I learned exactly why I had been ?spinning my wheels?, and why I was only making a fraction of what I should have been making after all of those years of hard work. Most importantly, it was as if all of the bits and pieces from everything I?d ever read came together and it was like ?Ah HA!?, I get it. I immediately stopped doing all of the silly crap I?d been up to- and went to work with the knowledge that my work would actually pay off!

So what did I change about my business? I decided I would make money, not spend it! Seems obvious, but if you realize that most home businesses fail because they are too expensive to maintain, I think you?ll have to agree with my changes. I changed the way approached my business in three fundamental ways:

First, I made the decision that I would NEVER spend more on my business than I would receive as a check for said business. That meant that I would even cancel my autoship if my check did not exceed the cost of product.

Second, I realized that I could not buy a single lead, or place a single paid ad. I had to generate my own leads, for free. I had to do the legwork to find out where the best advertising spots were, and I had to take the time to post in these spots on a daily basis.

I learned to use free ezine ads, forums, and networking sites.

Third, I learned the best way to construct an ad so that people absolutely have to click! I learned about psychological triggers and how to apply them in different ad types.

After taking the time to learn these new tactics, I developed a system and found that I could effectively work my business without making 100 dials a day or selling my first born to the leads companies. I still have leads to call, but they are exclusive, live leads that I generated for free. I am making money, not spending it. I share these tactics with my newly sponsored folks and get them started making money right away, instead of spending it.

So yes, prospecting sucks- but it can be easier, if the right marketing tactics are used. When you work smart, not hard, the end result is time and financial freedom?what was promised to you when you first signed up!
Happy Networking!

Mike Dillard And Magnetic Sponsoring

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

How does a marketing system really include all of that for such a low cost and also not charg a monthly fee? Isn’t there an on going fee to maintain the changes and tracking for your leads? Does Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring System really attract?

I have the solution to why this system gives so much up for so little. It’s called “Give before want”.

One of the primary teachings of the course is to share and give freely. Show that you can help people without wanting something in return. This totally shook my world. Materials in this course actually taught their students to give to those wanting help. Share knowledge and grow others before looking to make a sale. People are not dollar signs.

This totally took me by surprise and didn’t really sink in until I finished the book 2 days after receiving it.

So of course the big question is: Does it work? I can respond only to this by saying:

Maybe

Why maybe? Well, I would like to relate this to someone buying a sports vehicle . The sports vehicle is capable of high speeds and a fun ride. Put this in the hands of someone who can’t drive or drives 20 mph under the limit really puts things into perspective. This is a tool. Tools are only as good as the operator. I first experienced this first hand while working with machinist. They have thousand dollar machines but if the programmer and operator are not trained well my engineering parts will not come out without a high scrap percentage. This tool does give you all the nuts and bolts to build a system to attract thousands but then again it does depend on many factors. So ask yourself this: Is time or money more important? You can reach more people using paid methods or your can spend more time doing free methods.

The true measure of someone being able to flourish using Mike Dillard?s Magnetic Sponsoring falls squarely on his or her own shoulders. A true student of magnetic sponsoring will continue to grow and learn.

A true student of Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring course will understand the need to become the Leader. In doing so, the true student understands the entire teaching of attraction marketing is to position them for success which means the STUDENT MUST be the FIRST contact. Only until all leads are first presented to the student will there be successful branding. If all the traffic goes to the magnetic sponsoring capture page, where does that leave the student?

Still a student of course.
