3 Biggest Lies Being Told About Network Marketing Sales

again and again, when people are acquainted with network marketing sales, they are told that this business is not about sales, but its about something completely different. The cold truth is that in MLM you have to make sales if you want to to make money, just as in in all other business. Below I’ll disclose three of the biggest lies being told , and the reality behind them.

Number one. “Its not selling, its sharing”. This is one of the biggest expressions being told to new MLM sales reps .

The absolute truth is that in network marketing sales, as with any business, at its most basic level is about an exchange of value, in this case cash for a product or business opportunity. The whole sharing mentality is often told to brand new MLMers who have a huge phobia of doing real selling.

The sharing approach is really just one individual counting on the relationships that they enjoy with friends and family, and the bond they have attained with them. They use this as a leverage point to grow their business and market their MLM product or opportunity.

Number 2 “We are not in sales, we we educate people on making better choices”. Educational marketing is a very well known tool in the sales and marketing industry , and in network marketing sales as well .

A great example of this can be seen at home depot. One of the things that alot of individuals love about home depot is that they hold classes and seminars on how to actually do home repairs and projects. This is a great example of educational marketing at its best.

They invite a targeted audience who wants to learn something , they instruct them that one thing , and then have the sale in a very easy manner.

One can see this technique applied many times in network marketing sales with educational sessions, webinars, conference calls. All with a goal of educating people which makes the sale easier.

#3 “The product sells itself”. A product doesn’t sell or market themselves , individuals sell products, all the way. Try this as a way to illustrate this idea. Buy a big box of the latest wiz bang juice, top of the line, best in the market.

Now , put the box of stuff in the driveway, and leave it there for a couple days.

Does the product magically jump up and sell itself? Is there a sale made without a person actively working to market the product?

No, actual individuals being in front of targeted prospects and explaining the benefits of a product or opportunity is what clinches the sale, not the item itself.

I hope that discussing some of the truth in network marketing sales opens up what this business is trully about. Just like other businesses, a sale needs to happen in order for profit to be made.
